Economic Development Activities
Working with its partners in the Southwestern Oklahoma Impact Coalition, CETES is participating in a project that gathers information about regional businesses using the Synchronist Business Information System (Blane, Canada Ltd.). The Synchronist Business Information System is a software tool designed to organize, analyze and report company information, giving community decision-makers invaluable insight into the dynamics of the local economy. Other universities partnering with Cameron on this project include Southwestern Oklahoma State University, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Western Oklahoma State College, and Redlands Community College.
CETES developed the Technology Growth Strategies Model using an economic development grant from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. The purpose of this model is to permit a systematic review of a company's operations and markets in order to identify and implement new strategies to help with operational efficiency and market expansion. It is a modular process that permits the model to be either fully or partially implemented based on the need of the client. The model provides both a framework for analysis and a tool for creating reports that can be used in facilitated discussions with company management to make informed strategic decisions. Contact CETES today to learn more about this innovative tool.
